What do I need to get started?
To get started we recommend each classroom has:
- a teacher toolkit for each classroom;
- a selection of decodable books;
- a Little Learners Online subscription;
and that all teachers in F-2 have completed our two-day professional learning workshop.
Professional Learning
Our professional learning workshops are essential to teach Little Learners Love Literacy with fidelity, and to get value and impact from your resources. This unique two-day workshop will prepare you to implement evidence-based reading, spelling, phonemic awareness and writing routines in your classroom.The workshop comprises four interactive online pre-work theory modules and a two day workshop. This professional learning will lay foundations by exploring key theory concepts including the science of reading, cognitive load theory and explicit teaching. Classroom footage and a range of interactive activities will support you in mastering the practical elements of the program including planning and assessment. Please note that completing this workshop does not qualify you to train in the Little Learners Love Literacy program.

These classroom packs are our recommended set of resources for each classroom to explicitly teach Little Learners Love Literacy comprising teacher resources, practice games and assessments. There is an option to add decodable books (5 or 10 copies): Pip and Tim Decodable Books Stages 1-6 (total of 35 different fiction books) and Little Learners Big World Nonfiction Stages 1 -6 (total of 35 different nonfiction books). Classroom pack prices include a 25% discount on RRP to help you get started with Little Learners Love Literacy. Workbooks
These workbooks are companions to the Teacher Activity Resource Books. They include all the student-directed activities from the TAR - reading, spelling and writing practice for each student in the class.
Workbooks are available in six handwriting fonts: Sassoon Infant, NSW Manuscript GT, QLD Beginner GT, SA Beginner GT, TAS Beginner GT or VIC Modern Cursive.

Fox Kid
Fox Kid is a new series of decodable chapter books and supporting practise resources specifically designed for struggling readers, including those who’ve ‘missed the boat’ in the early years of school.
Enable children to master the application of phonic knowledge for word reading, building reading fluency and confidence with these fast-paced, funny, fox-tastic decodable chapter books!.
Each chapter book is supported by a reading and writing workbook and fluency card game.
